CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR ASSOSICATE-LEVEL CLINICIANS
ALSO AVAILABLE FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND AGENCIES AS A CLINICAL SUPERVISOR CONTRACTOR
WHY I SUPERVISE
I have been an NASW Certified Clinical Supervisor since 2014. With experience supervising a team of mental health professionals and program management, I have provided clinical supervision to newly licensed and experienced clinicians as well as unlicensed qualified professionals since 2012. In that decade-plus, I have built upon my strengths to best support mental health providers on their professional journey. While I enjoy providing direct service, the greatest satisfaction comes from sharing my expertise and resources while supporting my supervisees personally so they may thrive professionally. This way, I can maximize the number of people having their mental health needs met effectively and ethically through science
backed interventions and evidence-based treatment models.
MY APPROACH TO SUPERVISION
While I value fidelity, I also encourage flexibility and clinical judgment in collaboration with the clients. I bring humor, experience, big ideas, cultural humility, a keen insight, a strong moral compass, a broad range of expertise, and a sincere commitment to "my people," whether my clients, colleagues, supervisees, or agency. As a social worker in both heart and mind, I bring the systems perspective and advocacy into clinical supervision using inquiry, community-building, and a vision for growth opportunities.
I am imperfect, and I expect imperfection from others. I make space for those I supervise to be fully and authentically human, providing opportunities for reflection and growth while modeling self-compassion. There's a quote widely misattributed to Albert Einstein that resonates. While the quote's original source is unknown, the sentiment remains profound: "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." As a leader and mentor, I believe in troubleshooting and problem-solving to address challenges and leverage strengths rather than grow frustrated or give up.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
With over 100 hours of trauma-specific training post-licensure and a number of certifications, I can lend my expertise to develop the competencies of other clinicians to better meet the demand for high-quality mental health services. My experience includes program management, field instruction, training and consultation, clinical documentation review, crisis response, mandated reporting, credentialing and accreditation, productivity management, community- and school-based mental health, and private practice, which included being responsible for all my insurance contracts and medical billing.
I completed specialized training and field placement to become a Licensed School Social Worker, for which I held a license for 10 years. Although currently lapsed as I had transitioned to work in private practice, my expertise allows for reinstatement upon employment in a school system. Because of the intersection of my expertise in school-based mental health services and trauma, I am sought out for clinical supervision by associate-level clinicians working in schools.
Learn more about my training at the "about me" and my treatment style on the "about therapy" tabs.
FEES AND OTHER DETAILS
Supervision is billed for 60 minutes at a rate of $50, or prorated($75 for 90 minutes / $100 for 120 minutes). I am available by phone for clinical emergencies at all times. For calls lasting 15 minutes or less, there will be no charge. For consultations lasting longer, the rate will be determined in 15 minute increments: $25 for 15-30 minutes, $37.50 for 31-45 minutes, $50 for 46-60 minutes, etc. I will maintain a log of our scheduled supervision sessions with dates and times, and complete any additional paperwork, including six-month reviews, for the licensing board at no charge.
